DynaLIFE follows the provincial patient identification policy in all of our patient care centres.

All patients will be asked for 2 pieces of government issued identification each time they visit the laboratory. Please see our notice to patients for more details.

Ideally, one piece of identification will be your personal healthcare card and the other piece of identification will include. For more information on this and other provincial safety initiatives please see the AHS Safer Together brochure.


Antibiograms for 2010 and onward are available using the online interactive cumulative antibiogram tool

 

 

2013:

DynaLIFE and Alberta Health Services are pleased to announce the province wide implementation of fecal immunuchemical test (FIT) for colorectal cancer. Specimens on fecal occult blood cards will continue to be accepted until the revised clinical practice gastrointestinal (GI) guidelines are implemented provincially. Currently specimens will be accepted either in fecal immunochemical test containers or on fecal occult blood cards. Link to FIT resources for healthcare professionals

 

DynaLIFE, Alberta Health Services, and BD Canada are pleased to announce the implementation of the BD vacutainer® urine collection system. As of October 15, 2013, urine dipslide media will no longer be accepted for testing at DynaLIFE. Link to urine C&S resources for healthcare professionals
